I was in the audience for today's program. I thought the presenter needed tighter control of the panel - the first question took far too much time - though he twice used the great line of, "So your answer is that you want to talk about something else" (once to Allard and once to the Labour panellist) which got applause both times. but it rapidly became obvious that the real fun was giving Allard (the SNP panellist) rope with which to hang himself. And he did, repeatedly.
Truth to tell, none of the panellists impressed me. The Lib Dem panellist, Lord Stephen, blundered badly when he said that the Labour Party made a mistake in preferring Foot to Healey - both were appallingly bad choices.
A comment from the audience about Corbyn livening things up didn't get the applause I thought it deserved.
I was disappointed that there was no Tory on the panel - they did come second in the General Election.
