Pleasant and unpatronising
tbf, it'll probably be built before they fix that damn lift on the north side of the Greenwich foot tunnel... and then it'll go wrong again...

Yep, but it'll be (almost) finished in time to be cited by Johnson in his mayoral campaign as evidence of his... whatever.
Despite recent delays, it’s quite possible that the thing will be ready ahead of the Olympics. A report in Engineering News-Record (subscription required) suggests that Transport for London are quietly hopeful it will open in late June
You can't sit down and still be moving on a bridge. .
Sell the bridge to Americans.
Been to London a few times this year and never noticed it
No and no.
HTH?
Don't see way tfl need to pay for a tourist attraction
Will it be and will I be able to?
If not, what is the point?
It's not just a tourist attraction, as I said it's also about civic pride, which granted is a bit of a luxury we can (or can't afford). Architecture, infrastructure and so on makes a populous happier and it has far reaching benefits both sociology and economically. Ralph Erskine recognised the potential of good architecture and infrastructure.
Its just chintz for the O2, a bit of fun for bored excel centre salesman. It looks good but I think its a bit meh for the civic population as a whole. It's not just a tourist attraction, as I said it's also about civic pride, which granted is a bit of a luxury we can (or can't afford). It's for the Olympics and wouldn't have been built if that wasn't happening.
This is definitely going to feature in a Bond film. 007 loves cable cars.
So what?
