Look out for this diagram on posters and petitions around Loughborough Junction and Brixton. Sign the petition in support of the western extension of the East London Line stopping at LJ and Brixton. Otherwise it may pass though this area with no new stops here.

I see what you mean Mike. But, although over-ground, this would be part of the Tube network and run underground trains just as overground sections of the Tube do in west London.

I've sent you an email with the full poster and petition design. Could you make a quick u75 page with the poster, and if you can, an online petition?

Thanks, :)

I think it's well worth campaigning to get the stations built - in particular tying down Ken Livingstone and the other Mayoral candidates to some unambiguous pledges before next June's elections.

But let's not over sell what's being offered: 4 trains per hour from Dalston Junction to Clapham Junction
see this page of the ELL project site - this is not a Tube frequency of service.

Although LU are taking the lead in getting the scheme up and running, operation of the line is likely to become part of a new "Orbirail" national rail franchise, with some ongoing TfL funding. This will also include the North London Line and the West London Line.

When the preferred route went through Tulse Hill and Streatham on the way to Wimbledon, unscrupulous estate agents were talking up property values around those stations on the prospect of direct tube links to Docklands - is that really what is wanted for Brixton?

There's something wrong with the petition form as it's cutting off all the text on the left hand side and the poster is - well - horrid!

Surely it would be more efficient to do an online version with direct links to faxyourmp.com for hassling MPs? (not that I've got time to do it right now but I could have a bash later)
