The inevitable summer holidays 2016 thread I guess!

Just been confirmed I have all of August off work. So need to decide! Anyone else more certain and organised this year? I was thinking Vietnam/Burma/Thailand but flights are pricey as I havent booked anything, plus it'll be raining and probably a bit ambitious for a month.

So will probably just stay in Spain and do some hiking on the G11 trail along the Pyrenees for a week or two and then go somewhere else or back to the UK for a bit. Been looking at Corsica and Sardinia but probably pretty damn busy in August. I guess it depends though! Im looking for beautiful scenery, things to do, bit of nightlife, some diving and sailing perhaps.... hrmmm.

I'll be up in the Lakes a couple of times for the odd week or so. Bag a few more Wainwrights, Hawkshead brewery and general outdoorsy chilling.

Do some camping somewhere with the family. Not sure where yet.

A couple of overnight wildcamps up on Dartmoor with a bit of luck.

Maybe a few days surfing in Cornwall.

Also got my honeymoon...fortnight in Mauritius

When I write it down that's a lot to look forward to!

India for work in June, California for work in July and then a week's trip to both Finland and St Petersburg first week of August. Maybe a weekend away somewhere in Spain (ibiza?) inbetween those.

Although I have been tempted by the idea of *gasp* Northern seaside so I might change location. I won't be going abroad, OB robbed my passport and I can afford a mini holiday in britain or a new passport so holiday at home it is. I don't mind though theres loads of stuff in england I have yet to see. Gonna wait till after the eureff vote cos it should be nice and hot by then.

Cornwall in May I hope. Depends on money but we have the accommodation sorted - my sisters caravan - and just have to find money for fuel to get there!
Later in the year hoping for a few days in and around Birmingham to coincide with the first ever Green Party LGBTIQ conference.
I also think a few days in nottingham might be on the agenda.

Going to kos in a few weeks, we love Greece and wanted a beach holiday. We'll go somewhere else hot around October time to get some last bit of sun. Not sure where though, will depend on funds.

In May I'm going to Belgrade (for work), and in June, Bulgaria (also for work but will find time for fun). I'll probably go to the South of Turkey at some point in June as well (I live in Turkey so it's only a case of getting a bus or a £20 flight). Then I'm going to Hong Kong to work for five weeks, and once that's finished I'll go somewhere on the way back - maybe Thailand, even if it is the rainy season.

Then in September it's Eid so we get another week off.
