Given up on radio 4 comedy, except for Ed ReardonSoup Erkins... The Now Shite... The Museum of Holly Whatsit... The Utterly Broken... the only 6.30 one worth listening to at the moment is Daliso Chaponda.
Who would have something to say about the 12 year olds on our airwavesIf you are gonna start on the new guard at R4, look no further than Lauren Laverne on DiD
Kirsty was infinitely better.
You in particular. She's just a stray loose woman who should be kept on a daytime tv couch if she has to be broadcast at all....

- as you say you haven't listened to Just a Minute...What. The. Fuck.
Just a minute is awful cringeworthy radio that is rarely funny so Sue Perkins is the perfect fit.
it showsJust a Minute has been going since 1967
I know Just a Minute very well, I just haven't heard it with Sue Perkins yet.- as you say you haven't listened to Just a Minute...
Why bother?
Just a Minute has been going since 1967 - it has had a definite style and substance based on it's simple format, the erudite knowledge and humour of the participants plus the subtlety and nuance of the interpretation of the rules....
Sue Perkin's broadcasting style is "Me me me" as discussed here and elsewhere, I am Seriously suggesting that she would be better kept in the miasma of mindless day time TV, light lunch, casting couch, loose women etc
There isn't anything about my language that I believe your advice may be helpful with, your sensitivities and issues are your own business
While we're at it, perhaps you would care to define the reasoning behind your belief that using the term girl is some form of faux pas?
Naah, the last few years in particular, parsons was pretty crap. He had no idea about whether something had been repeated or not and was really easy to convince to reverse whatever he’d just said. Sometimes, I am sure, he reversed them because he literally didn’t have a clue. The rules were always pretty arbitrary but she appears to be openly bending them more than ever. I'm not keen on her, but worse is Paul Merton for whom it's all or nothing. Even if something is nothing to do with him he still butts in and has to have the last word either that or he says nothing. He just can't do happy medium. On a positive note, there has been an injection of new contestants.
Let me see if I understand this....I know Just a Minute very well, I just haven't heard it with Sue Perkins yet.
I don't usually take an 'if you don't know, I'm not going to tell you' attitude, but I'll make an exception for you, and the whole why referring to a grown adult woman as a girl might be problematic thing.
Perhaps someone else can be further bothered with you.
Liked once for the overall sentiment, and then again for "urban1975"Seriously, urban men (not all, etc)? Seriously???
You in particular.
What. The. Fuck.
I haven't listened yet, but if the presenter is shit, perhaps you might talk about it and them in a way that's not quite so urban1975.
Stupid boyLet me see if I understand this....
Rather than offer any relevant discussion point in relation to the tragic violent death of a cinematographer and mother you feel the need to highlight that I refered to her as a girl...
Seriously - no explanation just turn up with your language police attitude
Then you decide to pull me up in another thread where I express that a shit "presenter" should stick to her forte of shit daytime shows where she had something to offer
The problem being that there is something dated about the way I express myself...
Seriously - what is there to judge and why do you think it is your self appointed place to invent some slight by me
And ask for a call out to support your can't be bothered position...
Do me a favour
There may well be legit criticism of Perkins as a host (actually I think she’s ok and I’ve been a listener for 20+ years), but your comment stinks of misogyny unless I’m missing something. What exactly does ‘stray loose woman’ mean? And if the answer is related to the telly show that’s v much not a get out of jail card. Please explain. She's just a stray loose woman who should be kept on a daytime tv couch if she has to be broadcast at all....
Why wasn't Gyles Brandreth chosen to host ‘Just a Minute’?
Gyles Brandreth, not Sue Perkins, should have been picked to host BBC Radio 4's 'Just a Minute'www.spectator.co.uk
