Squatters Digest and Social Centre Bulletin

Rob Ray

Weight is meaningless
Thought I'd put this up as not everyone follows the various Freedom Press social media accounts (you monsters) but we have two semi-regular columns in particular which are aimed at keeping people informed on squatting and anarcho-adjacent social centre activities which I thought might be worth pointing to for Urban readers once in a while:

The Social Centre Bulletin [latest] [tag]

Squatter's Digest [latest] [tag]

Met someone from Aberdeen who mentioned this now exists

Aberdeen Social Centre

Wharf Chambers is a rented bar, a workers co-op and friendly to some types of politics, but really stretching the definition of a social centre.

i always find it an interesting question what makes up a social centre as compared to a different project eg infoshop, bike repair workshop and so on. i guess for me a place becomes a social centre when it is multi-use. i haven't been to wharf chamber since it was the common place social centre, maybe they just held onto the term from that time...
