You're right actually--though it does relate to last week's, and given somebody commented on 'neo-fascists' I thought I'd mention it. It took me a week to catch up on the one I spoke about, the other one you're now referring to I'll try & see over weekend. It's what comes with having a busy life, what with DVD editing/a job & of course my favourite pastime of being Howard Marks' bag-carrier

Nonetheless, detailed commentary on the episode I wrote about would be fun.

I did, only to comment what a bunch of unconvincing cardboard cut-outs they were - just like the rest of the cast.

You are right, in that these sorts of programmes - here and abroad - do show the security services manipulating politics, but they always show them as fundamentally good people doing it with the best of intentions. In the end, it's all very patriotic and comforting - don't worry about these nasty extremists: Uncle MI5 will always be there to protect you. Call me a hardened cynic if you like, but I don't and can't see the security services in nearly such a rosy light.
