Whenever I get the Piccadilly or Northern line (which is not very often, cos I don't live in London), there's a fair chance I'll get this stuck in my head:And the 60 bus mentioned in "Roots Radicals".
I think we can start to draw some conclusions about forms of transport have their praises sung the most and least - cars are sadly over-romanticised, trains do very well for themselves, buses and coaches have a bit of a hard time of it, and it's almost impossible to think of many tram songs other than this one:
Funny, I was just trying to think of a tram tune too but couldn't do any better than a mention in Run Run Run by the Velvet Underground. I gather a trolley is US slang for a tram, unless it's an actual trolley bus. Don't think they've been mentioned before either.
