Solidarity with Peckham Town player

Fingers

From Tuscany SE22
You may have heard that Peckham Town’s game vs Stansfeld was abandoned after 27 minutes on Saturday. This was following an extremely distressing incident when Alli Abdullahi was attacked on the pitch. You can find further information on the incident here. There is absolutely no place for this in society, let alone football.

Alli has a broken jaw, eye socket and neck damage (not broken as feared). He had an operation at Kings on Tuesday and hopes to return home later this week. He has a young family and only just started self-employment. So this incident will hit him financially, as well as physically and emotionally.

DHST prides itself in supporting our local community. We are keen to play our part by supporting a neighbouring team and player at this difficult time.

If you wish to wish to support Alli, then you can either donate here or find a DHST board member to donate cash at either of our next two games (Winchester away and Met Police at home). N.B. the GoFundMe page takes a 6.4% cut.

Oh wow! That's awful. I think he was in the car that gave me and Jam a lift from the Metrogas game a few weeks back.

I have not seen this. Can you PM me about it as we have to be careful what the Trust say until after any trial due to sub judice.

Bloody hell. That's horrific. Does anyone know any more about what actually happened?

He was allegedly attacked by a Stansfeld player I believe there has been an arrest. i have no idea if he has been charged or not.

Total raised so far is £656 and his former club, Bishops Shortford FC, will be holding a bucket collection at their game tomorrow. If anyone would like to donate cash, please come and find myself or another board member at the Winchester game tomorrow. Thanks to all those who have donated so far. it means a lot to him, his wife and his children as you will see in the Mirror article linked above.
