he Museum of London is planning to move, and has put up a display of some of the designs being considered for its new home.
The new museum in West Smithfield will be inside the former Victorian meat market buildings which were very nearly demolished for offices, but are currently empty and waiting for a new owner.
The site includes Smithfield General Market, the Fish Market, the Red House and the Engine House, and will see the museum end up about a third larger than it currently is.
The early stage design concepts, which illustrate what the new museum could look
like, embrace a wide range of interpretations.
Here's how it's might look
That's the Meat Market part of the site (2 blocks on the right in this image). The museum will be in the General and Poultry Markets (2 blocks on the left)
