Though no invention of his own he gets one night off but only worries about the kids. As the night proresses, several events (mostly due to a 'crazy' and 'free' single girl he gets tangled in an adventue with) teach the man to find out a thing or two about himself, as he learns to let go and 'live' a little.

The film will borrow heavily from that film with Meg Ryan and that guy from Dumb and Dumber.
