Anyone going? Apparently tickets sold out in 75 minutes!
Luckily, as I'd already booked the Crystal Palaces event I got priority booking.
I booked the lower tier, so I'm much closer to the action than I was at the Olympics and Paralympics.

Great to see the stadium packed again and such nice weather for it. The night I went, it was freezing!

My mum is pretty pissed that despite going to the Crystal Palace GP for maybe 7+ years she got no heads up about this and tickets sold out. Luckily I got an email when they rereleased some tickets, so now we're going on Sunday

Turned out to be warm and sunny for most of the time. The announcer during the warm up said "We're laughing at the weather forecast. It's 29 degrees!" 
It start to rain a bit less than a hour from the end, but it didn't amount to much, and didn't last very long.
Was really close to the action this time too. Very near the front!
Took my new camera with me, which has a 35x zoom, so got some great pics.....at least they look great in the back of the camera; I haven't put them on the PC yet.

Of course they're going to speak to Ennis, she won last year and was the poster girl for the Games

Had a pretty decent spot, just round the corner from where Bungle73 yesterday I think. Didn't have his kind of camera though, just my mum's little compact. Will post some of those up when she sends them to me, but in the meantime here's a couple from my phone: one from the start of the day in the stadium and one on the walk to Stratford station afterwards

I took more with my mum's actual proper camera but she hasn't sent me them yet. I'll pester her over the weekend for them.
Thanks. Apparently they are going to do it all again next year - I might or might not go.
