I was an avid Starsky and Hutch fan always vacillating between which one I liked most.
He had quite a varied stage career as well, played Mack in "Mack and Mabel" and Jerry Springer in "Jerry Springer: The Opera"
And while I in no way condone his domestic abuse he sought help for that, and his alcoholism, and did seem genuinely contrite , working with prisoners and rehabilitation groups and publicly speaking out against it.
