RIP David Soul

Like everyone, I used to watch Starsky and Hutch in the 70s. For some reason, my Dad and my Uncle Martin (my Mum’s brother) locally had the nickname Starsky and Hutch. They did wear cardigans, but I don’t remember them rolling on car bonnets or anything. I think it was just they were a duo and the programme was in vogue.

I respected Soul for his work on domestic abuse and his apparently sincere remorse and candour about his own behaviour. It takes people like that to talk openly and with remorse for others to change too.

RIP, David.

Just remember Paul Michael Glaser died a while back, Antonio Fargas not so long ago and of course Bernie Hamilton a few years back.
😓

My mate’s older brother tried to decorate his Vauxhall Viva in a similar way. Trouble was, his car was purple and it looked shit esp. since he used white matte paint.

Loved Starsky & Hutch , I was allowed to stay up late , started at 9.25pm 😳 and he was great in Salem's Lot. Not a bad singer , although I read something today about his early career when he was a masked singer who specialised in carribean music 🤔 Oh , and my favourite toy car as a kid , was the Starsky car , Hutch drove a shit car.

RIP .

That episode where Hutch got hooked on horse after the baddies shot him up a couple of times was classic TV. When Starsky comes and rescues him and they have a big cuddle there wasn't a dry eye in our house. He then has to go cold turkey, but Starsky has his back and their bromance is all that's needed to beat the smack, and keep Hutch his badge.

They don't make them like that anymore.

What a strange time that was. Families all glued to the telly for the next episode of hero’s hookers heroin and hard men
I missed most of St and H while it was prime viewing, and always felt a bit left out at school, when everyone as taking about it

"started at 9.25pm"
Are you sure about that?
