My missus really liked trapped, it was one of her tunes. I thought it was ok but actually preferred the groove on the follow up single...



(although it does get a bit repetitive...still like it)

I remember seeing him do it live in 85 on the xmas edition of TOTP - i was barely a teenager then, only saw it once, but it burned in my brain -....that and Daryl Pandy doing Love Cant Turn Around on TOTP my first experience of House music :D

Funnily enough was listening to Trapped just last week - never really checked the lyrics before - his girlfriends parents might be informing on him to the police for some crime he's committed?

Anyway, bad bad bad bad tune. (Big soft spot for Im Not Gonna Let You too)
Shame though, he really had the voice, but I dont think he really had the material. Deserved to be bigger.

Ah thats heartbreaking.
If only there'd been some MAW productions with him on - might have given him a second lease of life. He's got the perfect NY Garage voice... Had... :(

Just reading his wiki...seems like so much classic US (proto) house and techno, its smashed it in the UK but didnt do anything back in the States.
Also he was in 94 East (the band Prince was in as a yoot)??
Also looks like it was because he didnt have medical insurance, else he'd be alive right now. God bless the NHS

This is definitely one of the better 90s NYG cuts...really gets there by the 7th minute....

This is interesting - dubplate from 84, released last year, got a very raw, homemade and lofi feel to it, but it works...youtube comment says " Whenever DJ Larry Paterson or DJ Tony Humphries threw this on at Club Zanzibar, it was a guaranteed good night."
