police camera crew illegally entered the Titnore Woods protest camp

You should have burnt there fucking van..like we did at the Euston demo a number of years ago.....they seem to GET the message after things like that......:D

As per usual...

Here's a random observation - it's quite common for the cops to be so interested in making notes, taking pics. of the camp and peeps etc.. that they quite forget to keep an eye on their vehicles.

This is of course a shocking oversight in this day and age where vandalism is rife.

I remember that one.

That was the "suspiciously left close to the demonstrators" van, at the demo with a large number of big burly rugger types in boiler suits who seemed to be doing most of the cop-fighting, but mysteriously weren't kettled later.

Hmm.

Ok if you put a camp up ilegally on someone elses land how can you accuse the cops of trespass when they wander through it?

I thought the exact same thing, and although I understand trhe section 6 thing, how do you defin ethe limits of the section 6 notice if you are on someone else's land?

A genuine question not a feeble attempt at trolling!

Draw a map, and describe the boundaries. Simple - and effective - hence the requirement for the state to acquire an eviction order.

As for the 'someone else's' land business - well, I guess not everybody holds with the concept of land ownership. And either way - a protest camp usually occupies land earmarked for a complete trashing - and often purchased in advance by the state.

I'll never forget a spokesperson for English Nature getting irrate on the news about the 'damage' being caused at a camp at Newbury. Yeah - cos' trashing a wood and replacing it with concrete and tarmac is in sympathy with 'nature'.

Oh what a lovely protest march – classic!

Just in from the protest march to save Worthing Hospital’s A&E & I.C.U. units – they want to transport people to Brighton – at least a ½ hour away even with the blues & twos on!

Anyway, somewhere around 5,000 turned out – with a 6pm start on a weekday – not bad, me thinks, for sleepy old Worthing. BBC South went live with it on the regional news & ITV, local radio & press were all there!

I am wearing my ‘Glastonbury Top Hat’ with A4 poster back & front with a simple message ‘NO CUTS!’ I almost put a ‘N’ in there!

The coppers are trying to keep the march along the seafront off the road – there’s me getting people to ignore that and cause a bit of chaos (well for Worthing anyway)!

This copper goes ‘What are you doing?’

I reply ‘Helping to cause chaos, it’s a peaceful public protest’ - as I pointed to my press pass (I left the local rag a couple of weeks ago, but kept the ID )

He goes, ‘Oh, alright’

Poor old coppers in Worthing – what with this kicking off – and the tree-top protests – they must wonder what the fuck is going on!!!!

I posted that in 'general':

The local rag has reported the police as saying the protest camp is LEGAL;)

Wasn't there a famous case at some outdoor party in southern England where 2 police cars left parked on the grass at the top of a long drop got their handbrakes released by persons unknown, while the coppers were busy closing the party down and busting people for possession, etc?

Two almost brand new cars went bouncing down this cliffside.

Made me laugh when I heard about it. Tit for fucking tat, like.

Giles..

I'm sure I heard of a van and car getting turned over at a party in brighton a while back too... bit of a pattern emerging, damn pixies;)
