PlayStation VR2 (PS VR2)

CALJO

To each their own.
Hello! I’m an old geek and avid gamer. I bought PS VR2 over a year ago and am still using it at least one night most weeks.

I’m currently dipping in and out of Gran Turismo 7, Horizon Call Of The Mountain, The 7th Guest and Walkabout Mini Golf. I’ll be buying the PC adapter next week and trying out a few PC VR titles e.g. Half-Life: Alyx.

Any other happy VR2 owners out there? If so, what have you enjoyed playing, what are you currently playing and what are you looking forward to playing?

Looks like comparative resolution to the last-gen PC options like Quest:

Wonder how compatible the Apple hardware is with mainstream PC gaming? The Bigscreen Beyond looks awesome.

I'm really tempted by the Big Screen. I've got the Quest 3 and it's great but VR should eventually be contact lenses and the Big Screen is a step towards that. With this added it'll be amazing...

Actually eventually it'll just be AR (Actual Reality). That's when VR porn will really take off.

Finally got around to trying out some PC VR games using my PlayStation VR2 headset.

Half-Life: Alyx - jaw-dropping! 🤩

If it had more exclusives I'd get one. I really like the look of those OLED lenses and the haptic feedback. Probably going to get a PS5 PRO for GTA6 so I might get the headset anyway. Half Life: Alyx is amazing. Try Azgard's Wrath 2 if you haven't played it. It's excellent.

I cant get the adapter working properly, the PSVR App jst seems to want to crash my PC when I get to a certain part of the setup.

Others have had trouble too according to reddit.

Mildly annoying to say the least.

Sorry to hear this. I’m assuming your PC meets the minimum requirements. I hope it gets sorted out soon, buddy. 🤞🏻

I've heard the Bluetooth controller connection isn't optimal.

Recommend Star wars squadrons, pretty cheap and great in VR

Also got a mod for Alien Isolation, but couldn't get moving around working correctly with the hand controllers (couldnt turn).

Might try with a gamepad.

ETA Gamepad works but made me feel a bit sick, also terrified me and I've not even encountered an Alien yet.

Also Omega Pilot, nearest thing to Wipeout you're gonna get on pc, quite odd controls though and its under £12

And we can play quest games using Revive.

Also a shout out to Tetris effect connected, a very chilled and pretty version of Tetris.

Horizon Call of the Mountain - I eventually got around to finishing this gorgeous VR2 launch title.

As a huge fan of the Horizon universe, I thoroughly enjoyed this immersive VR game. There’s a decent mix of combat and climbing, with a good variety of weapons/tools and mission locations.

One of my favourite VR experiences to date has to be…
climbing a moving Tallneck.
🤩
