Nairn St Ninians trounced by Ardrossan in the Scottish Junior Cup yesterday. And round & about scorching Aberdeen the day.

Always a dramatic sky at Peterhead FC. This cloud weirdly looked as though it came from a Dali painting - the match referee’s performance certainly did.

The remains of St.Mary’s Chapel in Rattray, north of Peterhead- all that’s left of a village swept away by the North Sea in the eighteenth century.

A freezing & very blustery afternoon didn’t put off the Blue Toon seeing off Clachnacuddin in the Scottish Cup.

I've been to Scotland 7 times, including Sky, Harris and Lewis, Loch Ness, Inverness, Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and I appear to only have a few photos on 2 of those trips....

Aberdeen, Peterhead & Fraserburgh in the last few days. Busy harbours & occasional lazy sunshine to lift the grey. Election ‘fever’ restricted to a few large billboards evenly divided between the SNP & wee Dougie Ross. Apathy is palpable in what on paper is a key battleground.

Thought this Wildlife Photographer of the Year prize-winner taken by Fortunato Gatto in Glen Affric was fantastic; loads of other great pics from round the world too, unsurprisingly: Wildlife Photographer Of The Year: Tadpoles take the top prize from almost 60,000 entries of world's greatest animal and nature pictures Tadpole pic a worthy overall winner.
