Photos of Harris and Highlands (?) in the 50s

...and other places.

My grandparents used to go to Harris every year for the summer and I recently got hold of a load of slides (a couple are dated 1959; some are definitely earlier; most are unlabelled).

There are tons of landscapes which I assume haven't changed much but others photos might be of interest. Doesn't Sasaferrato have a connection with Harris?

I don't know Scotland at all so have no idea where most are taken tbh.

I scattered my dad's ashes near the pier in the first pic, it was where he used to fish.

Unbelievable photos to be honest. Shame they don't have notes with them!

My grandpa fished and shot things and always had several springer spaniels around. They feature on a lot of the photos.
