Peterborough History Tour and Cathedral

OK, I've got these free train tickets, as you know, and was thinking of going to Peterborough to visit the cathedral (I would have done the museum too but it's closed ). How ever I also notice there is a historical walking tour which sounds interesting that I'd like to do as well. The problem is the tour is only on Saturdays, but as far as I can tell the Cathedral has events taking place on every Saturday until Xmas, and my tickets expire at the end of the year! Is it worth trying to squeeze the tour in, should I just make do the the cathedral? I could always go twice I guess, since I have the free tickets....

The Cathedral is impressive, unless its improved beyond all recognition since I was a teen the Museum or the rest of the city centre isn't worth going out of your way for.

Boy peteborough off and come to Northampton instead, we have better history, more exciting sights, more attractive looking women and our city centre boasts a nuns graveyard.

P'boro is like a pale echo, tbf. They have a cathedral- we have a magnificent guild hall as proud working class tradition means more than popish finery to the residents.
