Coote is the subject of an investigation by the referees’ body Professional Game Match Officials Ltd after clips showed the 42-year-old calling the former Liverpool manager “arrogant” and a “German cunt”. Howard Webb, PGMOL’s chief refereeing officer, said the organisation was taking the incident “very seriously”. As a participant in football, Coote falls under the scope of the FA’s rules and the investigation is likely to concentrate on a potential breach of rule E3, which deals with behaviour that brings the game into disrepute.

Apparently it was the "German" that will sink him.

I have a fair degree of sympathy for him. I really like Klopp for what he's done at Liverpool but managers can indeed deserve a return on the insults they give out. Almost by definition about 50% of the time one of the two managers is going to be wrong complaining about a decision going against them, but they often both still give out the abuse.

You wouldn't want him reffing Liverpool games, but somewhat harsh if his career is over.

It's stupid and unprofessional isn't it and the way he's phrased it is out of order, he probably does deserve to get the boot tbh. But yeah how managers and players talk to and about refs all the time it's hardly surprising that the refs don't like some of them is it and they're going to express that in private. If I was a ref I'd probably think Klopp was a cunt tbh.
