It was the right length. Very difficult to bend true stories into satisfying narrative arcs, but this managed to ratchet up the outrage quite neatly without going flat. And I’m sure Labour comms people were very happy indeed to see a gradually disillusioned Red Wall brexiteer serving as audience proxy and eventual heroine.
