Dubstep Allstars: Vol.05 Mixed by N-Type is helping the afternoon to go more pleasantly bassy :D

Just bought this, couldn't resist with such a huge tracklist. I will listen later.

Did you check out that Skream song from No.4 - Back II The Future. If you do, turn the bass up high.

Low - Drums and Guns

Listened to it for the first time yesterday morning, wasn't into it. Listened again in the afternoon and loved it! Clever bastards :)

ooh i must remember to go back to that (low's newest) actually. a mate downloaded it for me a while ago & i couldn't quite get into it as much as the others.

today for me it was: feist - 'the reminder' :) simply beautiful.

Yeah, I was saying yesterday morning "I'm sure it will grow on me but I'm really not into this right now". Didn't expect it to grow on me quite so fast though! I often find that Low albums are slow growers, and that's fine with me cos IME the albums that sneak up on you are the ones that tend to remain vital for longest.

Was listening to Sonic Youth - Daydream Nation earlier. It's pretty funny hearing Thurston Moore singing about how it takes a teenage riot to get him out of bed; these days, that probably means Coco and her mates having noisy pyjama parties :D

A day off work with a sprained ankle isn't all bad ...

massive attack - blue lines
utah saints - utah saints
pulp - different class
beck - guero
talking heads - little creatures

... and i'll be putting that skream track on when the 'heads finish ;)

Yeah, that bassline is nuts..First time I heard it, I nearly whitied (I wasn't far off doing so anyway)

I got the third one of those on vinyl last night and was looking for the others. First dubstep I've bought on vinyl. Wont be the last. a) It's good to scratch to; b) it's easy to mix; and c) it's good to mix into other genres of dance.

arcade fire - funeral.

every single time i listen to this album i am amazed & overjoyed. amazed at how wonderful it is, but also amazed at my never ending amazement.

Dr John - Gumbo / Back To New Orleans
