Miss Kittin & The Hacker: First Album

...which is giving me the strange sensation of being in a low-budget 80s skin flick.

Which I kind of like :D

Snap. Still sounds fucking amazing doesn't it.

Also just started playing Blur's Think Tank after buying it almost a month ago  It's fantastic - much better than I ever expected. ( apart from the duff Fatboy slim track)

coming in from the cold...brrr.

To warm me up - a load of Reggae/ska 7" singles given to me by my friend's dad before he went back to Jamaica to live.

He was a dj in the 'good old days' and I can just picture him as a slim dapper young fella, stepping down the road to pick up his girlfriend (my friend's mum) to go to a dance.

Most of the records are tunes from the late 60s, and I can't get over how innocent they sound! :)

The Avalanches - Since I Left You
and various EPs by unsigned bands that they sell cheap in Fopp and I randomly buy based on the cover and the name of the band. :)

gone back to the the teenage days

The wedding present - bizarro

with a healthy dose of...

Yo la tengo - painful

In one ear (cos my cd walkman is knackered:( ) -

The double CD thingy from The Wire magazine- not really impressed so far.

v/a - Dancehall Techniques (Maximum Pressure) excellent early digi dancehall stuff

Freq Nasty: Bring Me The Head of Freq Nasty

&

Miss Kittin: Radio Caroline - one of the best mixes I've heard for a while, a sublime mix of electro/techno treats :)

Bong Ra - Bikini Girls Kill Kill Kill (best new album i've heard in ages - a proper breakcore/ragga/d&b/beats mash-up)

Throbbing Gristle - 20 Jazz Funk Greats

Fenin - Done (similar tip to Pole, deep pulsing neu-dub)

Animal Magnet - Welcome To The Monkeyhouse (goth club classic i finally managed to track down :) )
