# On The CD Player Today (take 6)

Squarepusher - Big Loada
Amon Tobin - Permutation

Just been the mood today for some funky jazzed-up drum'n'bass-type stuff.

The Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band - Wrestle Poodles & win: the Tiger Head years
Bloc Party - Intimacy

eta:Mainstay - A Well Meaning Fiction
Gorillaz -Plastic Beach

Gene Clark - Echoes
The Green Pajamas - This Is Where We Disappear
Throwing Muses - Live at the Town & Country Club 1991
Julian Cope - Autogeddon
Bad Livers - Horses In The Mines
Milloy - More Than A Machine

The Delgados - Peloton

How much do I love them? There have been few better bands of the last 15 years, and they are much missed (although Emma's solo stuff is still dead good).

Agreed. I do love The Great Eastern.

Domestiques is slightly weaker, but the other 4 studio albums, plus BBC sessions, are all masterpieces.

Sex Pistols - Nevermind the Bollocks...
The Upsetters - Super Ape
Spiritualized - Let It Come Down (in the 3D case no less  )

Surgeon - Breaking the Frame

Daara J - Boomerang

I have decided this is the best hip hop album ever. Following straight on from Emergency Powers and Food and Liquor and it completely blows them both away.

Sitting outside in my parents garden, listening to one of my favourite Norman Jay - Giant 45 show house mixes from 2003. Just the thing on a lovely sunday afternoon!

Tracklist:
Knee Deep - Funky Nassau
Louie Vega feat Julie McKnight - Diamond Life
Los Jugaderos - What You Doing To This Girl? (Norman Jay Re-edit)
Stylophonic – If Everybody In The World
Jamiroquai - Too Young To Die (Grant Nelson Remix)
Tweet - Boogie 2nite
5th Dimension - What Does It Take (Remix)
Shampoo - Feel The Funk
Azzido da Bass - Dooms Night (Norman Jay Strings Mix)

Have uploaded here (98MB).

Eels- Electro-Shock Blues
Caribou - Swim
RZA - Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai score
v/a - Run The Road (rather good early grime compilation from ~2004)

Efrim Menuck - Plays "High Gospel"
Any good?

EMA - Past Lives of Martyred Saints, pretty good
Gillian Welch - The Harrow and The Harvest, only listened to it once so far but I'm a little disappointed tho that's probably more to do with my expectations than the actual quality of the album
