# On The CD Player Today (take 6)

Blanck Mass - World Eater

It's not perfect from start to finish, but it may well be his best solo album so far. It'll be vying for number 1 spot in my end of year list.

New Order - Music Complete

It's not bad, but the songs all sound like they're waiting for Hooky's part to come in. Iggy Pop's track is the best bit.

The Fall - New Facts Emerge

After a short break from its first few listens, this seems slightly better, but is still shite in the wider pantheon of Fall albums.

Venera 4 - Eidôlon

There's just over two years left for someone to edge this out for my album of the decade. Quite, quite gorgeous, especially when turned up to 11.

Hüsker Dü - New Day Rising

This is one of those albums which I really like, but is marred by having one track which is phenomenally good (Celebrated Summer).

Hannah Peel - Mary Casio: Journey to Cassiopeia

Most excellently recommended by killer b it really is a bloody good listen. I should have listened to it earlier, she played here a couple of weeks ago

Kurt Vile - B'lieve I'm Goin Down
Courtney Barnett And Kurt Vile - Lotta Sea Lice

Really into both of these albums.

I got this tape this week and it is amazing. Get on it (There's a vinyl edition too if you can't get with the format of the future)

Mogwai - Every Country's Sun

Bits of this are top Mogwai, but it lacks a bit of consistency to be near the top of their back catalogue.

Michael Czajkowski - people the sky.

Been caning this for the past few months — really amazing stuff ... bucla synth album from 69 that has similar kind of nocturnal dissonances to some of the sahko stuff from the 90s in particular Vainio's O releases. very much like that there are rifflike pulses as a counterpoint to the free-form tones.
