half the album is ace - like les mysteres, but close-up, iyswim... a few of the crossover tracks have a certain amount of charm. :D

worth picking up if you liked les mysteres, anyway.

Alabama 3 (surprise!) - Power in the Blood, Outlaw, and La Peste

This has turned into an almost fulltime obsession, so thanks mum and dad, for lending me that first album :D

There's a mini-documentary on the music of the show in the final series DVD set of The Sopranos, and I noticed that David Chase and others referred to them as "A3" rather than "Alabama 3". Anyone know why this is? Is it just shorthand or some sort of State-focussed tribalism?

I read somewhere that it's to avoid confusion with another band in the US with the same name, A Blue Grass band IIRC

There's a southern boogie / country rock band called Alabama. It was cos of them
