Now he's playing the theme tune from 'The Rockford Files'......

....ah, it seems he's just picked up a copy of 'Golden TV Themes'.....

...fucks sake, I've not even woken up properly yet. :(

don't knock - it's a classic.

here:

The Mills Brothers - Greatest Hits
Brian Eno - Before & After Science

this morning i've listened to a bit of limewax, digitalism, ricardo villalobos and unknown error, some pearl jam and some pixies right now :)

Weezer - "Weezer (The Green Album)"
Venetian Snares - "Hospitality"
Andrew WK - "The Wolf"
GZA - "Liquid Swords"
Brian Eno - "Ambient 1 Music For Airports"

Bob Dylan - World Gone Wrong
Beth Gibbons and Rustin Man - Out of Season
And ... not a single Oysterband song. :D

I've just bought, after wanting it for ages and ages, Mr Scruff's Keep It Solid Steel mix. It's awesome! Such a great tune selection and brilliantly mixed, this is not going to leave the CD player for some time.

The Songmakers Project - tiny label folk comp done for charity
it's got Billy Bragg - The Milkman of Human Kindness on it:cool: (the live/tv version on Sound Of The 80's was better - think that was the first time I ever heard Billy, have listened to that recording several times since)

Another compilation Ms Music did for me:

Black Crowes - Hard to Handle
Sonic Youth - Kool Thing
Gloria Lynne - Speaking of happiness
Special AKA & Rhoda Dakar - The boiler
Led Zep - Rock and roll
Violent Femmes - Add it up
Dead Kennedys - Too drunk to fuck
Cowboy junkies - Blue moon revisited
Dusty - I close my eyes and count to ten
Elastica - How he wrote elastica man
David Bowie - Starman
Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Spread your love
Yeah Yeah Yeahs - De ja vu
Roberta Flack - First time ever I saw your face
David Holmes - Sick city
Magazine - Shot by both sides
Iggy Pop - Funtime
Hives - Hate to say I told you so
Skin - Faithfulness
Violent Femmes - Blister in the sun
Donovan - Sunshine Superman

Farport Convention - Unhalfbricking
Uncut - Wake Up! 15 track guide to new North American indie (Beruit, Decemberists Shins etc)
Mojo - U2 jukebox (comp selected by U2 alegedly - good mix 0f 04/05 indie & 70s/80s post/punk & unlike the above cd does contain Wake Up by Arcade Fire)

The unknown pleasures vs closer thread has got me listening to Joy division's closer for the first time in ages. It's really quite an astonishing record
