November mini break (I don't drive and am going alone)

So this evening I am definitely going to decide on a place to go and when (depending on budget of course). Budget dictates europe only. I am travelling by myself (female so safety is an issue) and I do not drive.
Recommendations/suggestions for where to go and what to do (not too cold, i like booze, food, art and culture and wondering around taking it all in, need to relax after crappy year) would be much appreciated as would any airbandb tips etc.
Thank you

Warmish? Barca/Madrid good for walking and art/history, relatively safe. Lisbon might be nice too, and cheap.

Would suggest Berlin or the Dam but bit cold now.

i did Madrid by myself a few years ago and don't want to do Barcelona as my ex has just done a trip there and i know it sounds stupid but i want to do somewhere for myself and it would feel like a weird copying him type vibe. Will check out lisbon now...

yeah . Berlin will be geting a bit freezing now. If she were a man it would freeze her balls off by November.

I speak Spanish, have been to Barcelona about 5 times and loved it and I'm confident. So I decided to go again by myself for 3 days: just to go up Montserrat. But I hated it by myself. It didn't seem friendly.

I would choose Amsterdam but, then, I would probably spend whole days in coffee shops for my fun...

So i booked Valencia in the end, budget suited and i found an airbnb which had lovely reviews and was v cheap and simple. Am waiting for second hand guide book to arrive.
Any particular recommendations for must sees or cool bars and cheap good eats? I am there just before the marathon so will miss that on the 17th boo.

Valencia was amazing! The people were very friendly indeed, the beach was great and very close. The riverbed is a nice bit of greenery although don't expect a London park. The arts and sciences park was stunning architecturally but i didn't bother going inside.
It was very easy to get around by walking about, you really need a local to tell you where to go out though. My guidebook was out of date and only really handy for arty/museum type info. I found being a lone female very helpful in this respect and got taken out all over the place which was great.
Let me know if you need an airbnb recommendation.
