Norway. In October. Suggestions...

Are drinks included on board, if not, is it Brit prices or local ones?
The 'drinks package' if booked before you get on board is £25 per person per day, £35 if booked later.
I don't drink very much at all so I'm paying £7 for a cocktail when I want one, £5 or £6 for a beer.

I was more interested in a coffee card that gets me cheap Lattes etc. You can get normal teas and coffees for free any time. Fancier coffee costs summat like £5 to £7 a pop.

Everything on board is charged in £

The poetry museum was closed unfortunately so we went and bought some local honey, had some of the local cider and apple cake. It's an apple growing region apparently.

Also had a squint at the local kraftwerk. Hydroelectric!

Lovely day in Stavanger.
Been for a wander for a few hours, as much as my arthritis legs will allow anyway. Then a bus tour.
Few coffees, a few shops.
Visited the shoe shop that featured in a true crime podcast we listened to.
MrsA discovered Norwegian thrift stores and spent about £30 on over £200 with of gear that looks new to me.
Some great street art and statues of the locally famous.
All good.

Last day tomorrow (my birthday) will be spent at sea, then land back at Newcastle Thursday AM. What's not to like? 👍

Speak to you all Thursday or Friday.

I’ve had plenty of good nights out in Stavanger but have fuxk all memory of them.

But the beers prices are eye watering. Talk to your bank manager before you go

And take a thermal layer and a waterproof

lykke til

Would you do it again or recommend it?

Yes to both.
I'd like to go somewhere else next time, though. Norway is great but is like to stay in a place for a few days rather than a few hours.
Perhaps a warmer place/cruise where I'm not bothered about seeing the places so much. Just warmth, relaxation etc.
