That’s sad news. Wrote some great stuff. The Rutles were legendary.
Performing Death Cab for Cutie in the Beatles Magical Mystery Tour is an early memory of the Bonzos.
Nice bloke too.

Aside from all the great stuff he actually did, it's really rare to hear from people who know - over 50 years - that he was a nice bloke. I know it should be the default but fair play.
