We're DJing it again (Shack DJs on the flyer) - would be great to meet some urban gang there

It’s just up the road from me. Friday is mrs mxs birthday. Not sure it would be an acceptable birthday outing. Doesn’t look like my thing musically either. Buuuut, if there’s a bunch of Urbs going I could take the van up there for the Saturday…..

not too late!

not totally relevant, but I noticed recently that two of the King of the Beats headliners (Freestylers and Plump DJs) have members who were formerly members of bubblegum handbag house outfit Strike! (of U Sure Do fame). Checking out Krafty Kuts' past now and he seems to have a former life as a happy hardcore producer too.

Ska, any news yet on day splits & stage running times?
i havent asked tbh... i'm getting there on thursday will definitely know by then! if i hear anything before will share.

i think we've got uncle dugs and 2 bad mice playing on our Shack set, though last year there were some last minute changes. We had Leroy from Prodigy last year and he smashed it, 92 + breaks (and i dont even like breaks!) , he's back this year, really recommend catching him.

I spent most of my time last year at the Shack, it was fucking great. Tried to meet up with you but no one seemed to know who was who, better luck this year 🤞. So looking forward to it 😁. (I love breaks, soz 😀)

I've ended up buying a ticket, i couldnt run the risk of getting to site and being told i would have to do one of my shifts from something rubbish like 9pm-2am on the gate. I think i would feel bad just disappearing into the festival and fucking off the deposit as it seems like a small, friendly festival.

Quite excited now though! Does the music run from midday until 2.30am? Hope its sufficiently loud, the area of Micheldever looks rather 'Midde England' countryside...

sound is more than adequate... the site is well used for festivals - i cant remember what has been here before but its pretty tried and tested.
there was an issue with sound levels being reduced in one corners of the site after a certain time last year but i gather this has been resolved for this year
also hear that ticket sales are well up on last year so should be a good crowd of people there :)
