Moth Larvae in the carpets !

What I had to do was this - took all bedding and clothes out of drawers and put on bed. Remove clothes from wardrobes. Spray on inside of all drawers, cupboards and wardrobes, skirtings thoroughly with spray ( it goes a long way)
Then light smoke bombs and leave.
When I repacked cupboards and drawers I put moth strips in.

Great. I'll do this and spray.

Do you need to clear animals out for a few hours? As well as humans?
Yes you will need to go out. Everyone had gone on holiday except me. I did the house in two halves of the same day, staying in one side of the house while the fumers were on in the other side. You only have to be out for a few hours.

It was so bad I would've considered a small nuclear weapon. I left my sheepskin coat there and the little munching bastards ate the entire furry lining, leaving it looking like a thin suede jacket. Gutted.

I got some moths in my room, but my wardrobe got sprayed a few months ago so nothing can survive in there, gotta do under the bed but it's well long.

The moths I've got haven't touched any clothes and only a couple of small patches on the carpet. They appear to be emerging from where the carpet meets the skirting board - strange.
I have put moth powder I bought last year along the edges and worked it in with an old toothbrush, seems to help a bit but think I will try the bombs in the room.

We had that think they came through the window

We have some moths, but all treatments seem to involve having a house that isn't full of crap and whole rooms full of mountains of clothes. Short of moving house, I'm never going to be able to access all the skirting boards, just for starters.

:D well, I know they can but the carpet type ones don't seem that active and I would be surprised if they found the energy to ascend that far!
Yeh they do look a bit woosy but our windows were on the third floor. I suppose they can fly a bit and rest on the wall before moving up. I'm over thinking this but they drive me mad. We've done the super all in one treatment of spray, powder and fog bombs and removed all wool carpet to be replaced with bare boards and poly carpet and we still see them flying around ggrrrrr. We've also got mothballs and spanish equivalent of math balls. The wool rug in the lounge seems OK I think because it's never in the dark for too long.

Yeah me. It came and was used and it worked so all good.
Thanks. Had I bothered to check my phone I would have seen a text from DPD saying my PestControl order would arrive tomorrow, so panic over ...

I wish I'd done something earlier, like, when I first saw the moths rather than when I first saw the holes in numerous favourite pairs of jeans. I'm livid I didn't realise they were the type of moths that eat clothes.
