morrissey - the writing's on the wall

Wow, talk about being triggered. How the fuck is any of that racist?! Projection or what!
The evidence offered seems to be that a Simpsons cast member recently apologised for historic offence caused to South Asian people (the character of Apu). Not sure if we are supposed to think "Aha! They have a track record of racism, so this is probably another example of that. Somehow." or (which is more likely) "Aha! They're the self-hating super-woke in thrall to BLM and suppressing valid expressions of the white worldview, so of course they have it in for Morrissey".

Surely everyone knows that if Lisa meets an artistic/sensitive hero character, that character will soon turn out to have feet of clay?

Except for bleeding gums murphy

The original Simpsons, with Matt Groening in control, was great though. I can still enjoy those old episodes. But I guess a good thing can't last forever and Groening wanted to move on, handing the writing etc over to other people who didn't do as good a job as him.

The Simpsons just seems to have become all about celebrity appearances and the writing and storylines have really suffered.

Really the show should have ended years ago.

True story.
This is him and Cher, back in 1969, viewed through some special lenses.

I believe John Carpenter wrote a documentary on it.

Didn't the actress who voiced Bart die?
No, Nancy Cartwright is still going
Looks like a few minor/irregular actors have died:
