Mindless Action Films?

UnderOpenSky

baseline neural therapy
You know lots of explosions and plots you don't have to think to hard about when you're on a come down. Just got proper broadband again so on a film collecting mission.

Suggestions for the best from the last 10 years. So far I've done the Borne Trilogy, Terminator and the Die Hard Series.

Lets go low brow. :D

Bad Boys 2 stands head & shoulders above the competition in that genre, although the idiotic Taiwanese WWOOFer we had last week thought it was a documentary.

"Mission Impossible" - not keen on the first one - or Tom Cruise tbh - but the other two are pretty good action flicks.

"Face Off" - plenty of action in that!

MI3 is a quality action movie. Well worth a watch. Tongue in cheek from start to finish, Phillip Seymour-Hoffman as the bad guy, ample quality one liners. The Con Air of the naughties...

It always amuses me that in pred 1 a crack commando team were slaughtered and even Arnie struggled to take the creature down but in pred 2 a wheezing Danny Glover ran it across the city and mugged it off with its own weapon.

Well yeah, but it's easy enough to forget/ ignore the clever satire and concentrate on the mindless violence and great shower scene :D

I just love the tabloid TV guy spouting shit in the back-ground at every opportunity...

But yeah, the final scenes, after everyone is slaughtered in the abatoir, let it down...

Anything with Steven Seagal in it

Anything with Sylvester Stallone

I'd say anything with Arnie but then you might end up getting Kindergarten Cop

Under Seige! Stone cold classic of the genre.

Demolition Man! Amusing to think of Mr Snipes heading for jail IRL.

Paycheck, with Ben Affleck, is one of the less well known Phillip K Dick adaptions, and is well worth a watch...

Kidergarten Cop is fucking ace though.

Demolition Man. Sly and Snipes combine for great win. I especially enjoy the bit where Simon Phoenix gets by the retinal scanner security gate by having a guards eyeball on the end of a pen.
