Mental Health Resistance Network - Protesting Cuts and Coercion

I think @sleeper’s postion is very much not ‘shut and take yer meds’ tbh

Correct me if I’m wrong sleeper, but you’re arguing that the enemy is psychiatry, and the goal ought to be getting rid of it?

Depends how you want to look at it

Do I think immense suffering could very quickly be at least somewhat relieved for thousands of people with good psychiatry ---diet/allergies/modern treatments
And that instead suffering is used for profit on an economic/societal advantaging point?

This thread isn't about my experience though.
- ending coercion - impossible

-more funding insisting those types of drugs stay. (The ones that statistics show patients natural defence in the long term is crippled paving way for lifelong disorder with 'side effects'.

I am having real trouble making sense of what sleeper is saying, so it's quite possible I've got the wrong end of the stick.

Reform is important. It won't happen. Currently treatment mirrors something of a horrific drug addiction/drug empire

Banging on pots and pans asking an end to forced treatment -thats just silly.
A public inquiry/hard facts, why? You'll jeopardise public safety -

I don't know what you mean.

MH professionals might dislike the pretence that treatment options over 70 years have changed. The often punishment prescription linked to pharmacy company share prices has the seal of approval from central government and ridiculation occurs when the sufferer requests appropriate treatment.

In the same way fixed odd betting machines hoover money from certain people the madman acts to establish all those jobs/ medicines and 'security' to look after him.

I think basic allergy testing isn't good enough. Madness cannot be found.
Even had I the cure for madness it would be extremely difficult to put forward.
And I cannot say down with society and police, that's just silly.
But, maybe again, it's not worth investigating urgently the stomach/heart role in mental disorder?

Who’s saying down with society?

HRV has been getting not enough attention from patient perspective. And food, ha.

Bundled into an ambulance escorted by police to a 'place of safety'. Doctors with medicines and tribunals to decide you. No, not down with society.

We are angry we are seething.

More funding!

What??

(Arm the mentally ill)?

MIB those people in Westminster are snakes wanting to protect their stronghold. That's it.

Do you have any ideas on how mad-people can act to improve our lives? I’d be genuinely interested if you do.
