Could have sworn we already had threads on these old school bbc 2 and channel 4 indents but either I’m searching the wrong terms or they are embedded within another thread somewhere. No doubt someone with better detective skills than me will fish it out and link below.

Anyway....RIP.

That Channel 4 "giant" ident

Designed to “champion diversity and provoke change” It makes me a bit sad every time it's on the telly, in a Lonesome George kinda way. like it's proper trying to make friends but it only works for a short time. Just me? :oops: :facepalm: :D

BBC Two Idents

They got their monies worth out of some of these didn't they. Pretty sure the two I've seen tonight, were 1991 originals. (the 2nd one in this video) and the flipping furry two logo.

Station idents

I'm so very glad they've changed the BBC One idents. I wasn't just bored of the old dancing ones - I actively disliked them. Well the skeatboarding one was okay I suppose. I like the BBC2 idents, and the Channel Four ones are great - witty, understated and eyecatching.

Sad news, I worked with him quite a lot over the years. He nada certain old school charm and loved a bottle or two over lunch (or 3 or 4). Lovely guy
