Ideal for mixing-up with cereal/stale bread, seeds etc for the birds!
My mum used to keep bacon fat in a mug in the fridge where it would stay until it went rancid and had to be thrown out.I've got a jam jar of fat.
It's what my Mum always did and so I did it as well. I'll never forget her yelling at my brother, as he washed a load of fat down the sink, that the pipes would get clogged.
Living on a miner’s income in Yorkshire in the sixties did it too.Yeah, dripping on toast, Dad made that years ago, but living during rationing and up north does that.

Adding flavour to bland things. I’m using some chicken dripping to roast spuds in. Also use for wedges. And risottos or if making something with pulses and not much else, or relatively flavourless fish like eg pollock. And what do you use these little delights for?

aye, it's the best bit to eat in a lot of meat - pork/lamb chop fat, bacon rind, chicken/lamb skin - yummuch of the flavour or meat is in the fat, that's not anything challenging to cope with?
