I was a 13 years old a girl, taken into care by Lambeth Council due to our mum died and Placed into Shirley Oaks children's home in Lambeth, with 3 younger sibling brother's. We were each abused by pedophile staff, employed by Lambeth Council. Sexual, physical and mental torture. With threats of being placed into a mental hospital or approved schools, if we speak of our abuse. So we kept our secrets. But at 16 years old. I had seen my younger brother beaten and whipped so bad, by a member of staff, he had welts all over his body even private parts. I got angry and started shouting about the years of sexual abuse we were going through. The Police came and Lambeth social worker and staff never believed my claims. I was in serious trouble. Within a couple of weeks I was forced to go away. I was taken out of area, away from my siblings, they were never told I was leaving. I was placed into a Convent Workhouse, Magdalene Laundry . Run by Good Shepherd Nuns. Locked away for a whole year of slavery, hard Labour. Working under terrible conditions, with poor food and prefect beatings. I never see my brother's again for over a year. I was heart broken.
. All because I spoke out about the pedophiles operating in Shirley Oaks. The Lambeth Council today will not take responsibility for my incarceration in an asylum. They just can't be allowed to use and abuse children, then discard them into institutions.
