Just lobbed out all my music cassettes and feel rather sad about it

I've still got the embarrassing techno compilations I made aged around 16 / 17. The music's alright but my attempts at cover design were a bit knaff... Basically called things like Mind Warp, - Beyond the Quazar. Covered in coloured insulation tape. Not played them for years.
i wish i had some of my old teen early 20s mixtapes - ive got some slightly later ones (ripped in case anyone other than me fancies hearing them http://mikusmusik.blogspot.co.uk/2010/09/old-tapes-cant-stop-love.html + http://mikusmusik.blogspot.co.uk/2010/10/dusty-tapes-bass-persuasion.html), but id love to hear those first attempts. Ive chucked a load of tapes but kept McVities Rock Classics 1 as it was my first tape :D had to eat 20 packs of jaffa cakes to get that!Cant part with it after that...

Will have a listen later. Mine weren't even mixes. Just a mixture of stuff recorded from pirate radio back then. NRG and some other Croydon station IIRC and techno shows on Kiss / BBC London... I never really got into vinal. I've lost my proper hardcore mix tapes. Groove Rider, Ellis Dee and Sy thingy etc. :(
