Jungle

I heard RObert Elms on the radio play the Ghosts track and nearly fell of my chair! Bad tune

What's their other stuff like? Any pointers?

...talking Ghosts of My Life...

...touches the Japan sample too

Yeah when I first heard Ghosts of My Life with Japan's sample in it I bought it on sight (combination of two of my fave artists!) :D

Only got Tin Drum by them which was their final and most associated album but its stunning imo - David Sylvian's amazing vocals, sometimes sparse, sometimes intense synths and Mick Karn's bass. All tied into a Far-Eastern theme. Formed in South London too :)

Yeah he's one hell of a singer - out bryan ferry's bryan ferry. I looked it up and Ghosts got to #5 in the charts... when was the last time something similarly non-commercial broke the top 10? A long time now I bet...
(According to wiki they're from Catford!)

Freshly posted on youtube the legendary first Jungle Soundclash at Roller Express 1994. I think its gone up now because the promoters are firing up Jungle Soundclash anew in 2012! Classic pin-roll leg shaking

THE FINAL

Like all the Serial Killaz stuff I've heard so far, but only got round to buying a couple of twelves. A quick Google reveals that Tera has kindly put together a mix of some of his stuff. Get it here:

Serial Killaz - Full Metal Jack Up Vol 1

For the last couple of years Serial Killaz have been making their name in the drum and bass scene with their own brand of Jungle, starting with their remixes of such legendary tracks such as Congo Natty's 'Junglist' and Terry T & Demolition Man's 'Fire', the pair have steadily risen through the ranks to become the Jungle scenes remixers of choice. Now with the summer rapidly approaching, this month sees the release of not only their long awaited remixes of 'Code Red' for Rebel MC's Congo Natty camp but also their debut single for Hype's Ganja label, the latter being a skankin' drum and bass work out featuring the vocals of veteran Reggae star Cornell Campbell. Here one half of the duo, DJ Tera, mixes up 70 minutes of Ragga Jungle and dubbed out Drum and Bass featuring a host of hot dubplates, vip's and exclusives. In related news, you can catch a fresh new mix from Tera's partner in crime and fellow Serial Killa, Vital Elements up next on the Nu Urban site, don't miss it!
