Heard JH speaking at a stop the war thing. He spoke very well as I remember. He was just someone about whom there was nothing wrong, aside perhaps from his singing.

I do sometimes wonder how tone deaf people hear music though.

I can sing in tune, but not usefully and only ever with the volume turned up and I alternate between wishing I had musical talent and being glad I don't so there's more mystery left in it.

It's a very rare condition. Most people who are labelled "tone deaf" are nothing of the sort.
