is it possible to repair a dolce gusto coffee maker?

I´ve got one of these.



Tried to use it today, and only a few drops dribbled out of the dispenser, and leakage was apparent under the device. Do urbz think it could be repaired, or should I just get a new one?

Yes, it can be fixed. Most things can be fixed, if you know how to fix things.

I did say most things.
I hate disposable culture, so I've been fixing broken things most of my life. I try to make it better than it was originally, and I usually succeed, but it often ends up costing near as much as buying a new one.

Yeah, don't use hot glue on something that gets hot
Similarly, don't use epoxy resin to glue a handle onto a coffee cup. I tried that when I was a kid... It nearly lasted until I got to the table.

I find that's usually the best starting point. Followed by a some looking.

Yes, exactly. Ours plays up if it doesn't have a monthly clean/descale

Thanks, gentlegreen. The second of these videos sorted me right out, and I´ve gone from checking if I´ve got 70 euros spare for a new one to now drinking my first post-maintenance DG coffee.

It doesn't have to be either/or. Some people do both.
I used to only drink tea when I was younger. I used to drink about 10 cups a day, and I loved it, and hated coffee, because the best coffee I'd experienced wasn't much better than the dishwater you mentioned. Then I discovered real coffee, and I haven't drank tea since.
It isn't until you drink decent coffee that you realise how shit (most) tea is.
