Indiana Jones 4

There are two reasons for this

1) The convoluted process the script went through. About 5 different authors, then it was all hacked together at the last minute.

2) George "childhood-raper" Lucas

As an aside, I watched Jurassic Park last night and that was a great speilberg movie. Lots of wonder, tension, broad memorable characters and fantastically choreographed action sequences. He's a talented guy, but he should really stop hanging around with George :(

The look's good. Fingers crossed Lucas hasn't murdered the story...
Well one area where Spielberg has apparently prevailed was the use of CGI. According to an article I read the other day (can't remember where) the use of CGI has been kept to a minimum by Spielberg, something which Lucas didn't agree with according to the article.

Don't you think it would've been better if it was just called 'KINGDOM of the Crystal Skull' (like 'RAIDERS of the Lost Ark') and take it for granted that everyone knew fucking well it was the new INDIANA JONES filum?

Judging by the early reviews, that's not the case :(

For a while she dropped off the IMDB listing, but here she is on the set of the new Indiana Jones:

Harrison Ford, man does he never age? He'll bury us all.

I'm just calling it Raiders of the Lost Ark. I think it's funny to pretend to be a fuddy-duddy.

Well I downloaded it last night, a cam copy. I knew it was going to be shit but I did not expect it to be this shit:

PIRATES! If you are going to record a film in the cinema don't sit behind the tallest bloke in there.

Has he not seen his own films? Did he not think, "oh actually that looks a little on the shit side, it was better before all this computer stuff".

He couldn't even help CGIed American Graffiti a bit for the DVD. Twat.

I got a copy of Iron Man last week :hmm:

Was really impressed that the camera was so steady. The only indication it was filmed in a cinema was the latecomers arriving during the opening credits...

No one appeared to go to the loo or anything during the whole film after that :D

Posts on here indicate that i (and the filmer) missed the Samuel L Jackson bit at the end though :D

This is only relevant because i'd asked them for Indiana Jones and they'd sold out of copies :hmm:

The fillum was shit or the rip was shit???

There are CGI gophers... :(

I always said I was gonna have to watch it more than once, and I still will. Some good, some bad, some rather odd (I couldn't work out if Ford was actually puting in the moments where he seemed to be channeling Connery or if it was in fact a truly inspired piece of castin 19 years ago  ).

Watched it last night.......very dissappointed, loved the first 3 but this one.....well he's just too old(& looks it!), the stories very clunky & the acting's awful, Cate Blanchett is laughable. The best bit was the fight with the greasers in the diner but that lasts about 9 seconds. You may like it, I didn't & i'm a huge Spielberg/Indy fan. :(

I think Harrison Ford is the best thing in it.

It's really let down by the story more than anything, there is a moment the film "jumps the shark" and you can really tell.

Disappointing, but better than the star wars prequels. But then what isn't?

I'd say the first half is good, but the 2nd is total shite.

Saw this yesterday and was disappointed, too much CGI.

Earlier films were far better & I agree with the "jumping the shark" comment above, can't say too much without spoiling it but it was a bit pants imho.

The cam copies that are filmed by hte projectionist are usually very good quality. I am going to wait for an R5 scene release or a working copy to be leaked. They're usually hte best for early films. Although some times the work prints don't have special effects added to them or the sound mixed :hmm:

the worse is when u get a great copy, and the sound is out of sync.
even worse when it goes out half way thru the film, like I am legend...

Seen it this evening and reckon it's mediocre. The story was all over the place, the humour didn't work, there was none of the excitement of the previous three, it was ridiculously far-fetched, the ending was needlessly slushy...

Thought all of the actors/characters bar Harrison Ford were shite (the only half-decent movie I've seen Shia LaBeouf in was Disturbia - as for Leduff's "swinging through the trees" scene in this film...).

The Mummy did Indiana Jones better than this.

There were far more than one! The film was shite, all actors were crap, the story was a fucking mess, the plot line a joke and it lurched with insane levels of tedium from one 'jumping the shark' moment to another (each more idiotic than the one before)...waste of fucking money.

1/10

Oh yeah and wtf was it with Cate Blanshite's fifteen different styles of Russian accent??! Harrison Ford looked decrepit and old, the guy just can't do the action shit no more...

I haven't seen it but I agree.

But I can't say I liked the others either. :)
