you can describe yourself as anything you want but it's meaningless unless you give some indication of what you think being a "conservative liberal" is.

You sound like a Lib Dem tbf
Remember of course that your political convictions may have a certain place in the political spectrum, but that doesn't mean the parliamentary party purporting to be about your values actually is.
And thus, your fate is sealed.
Do you think modern day Conservatives are more to the left of what was once the era of Margaret Thatcher and John Major. It does appear to me that it is less right and more left than it once was. That's what pisses me off about people who think, oh god Tory not again. I genuinely think that the modern day Conservatives are not like that any more. I could be wrong though, so do correct me if that is the case.

Are the Liberal Democrats right of centre to?
Are the Liberal Democrats right of centre to?
Would do you mean by a workfore one?
A system where people can get benefits but only if they're hard-working and deserve them and aren't layabouts etc etc.
There's nothing confused about the Lib Dem position - you are a Liberal Democrat, and its clearly you who's confused!Well I kind of ...
...and the Liberal Democrats just seemed to be a confused party to me.

I know I'm confused, that's why I'm asking all these questions.
No then I believe in the Welfare one. I mean some people find it hard to work don't they. Although that said, I think there should be a system for weeding out the sponges and a system for giving help to those who genuinely can't work the physically and mentally ill for example.
But the LDs are a coalition of liberals and social democrats, and that's a particularly problematic mix: the Labour party is a social democratic one and the Conservative party is liberal, so it's not suprising that the two don't work together well. The mad ones are all liberals, of course.
Ask yourself what things are important to you?
Do you think personal freedom is generally more important than the wishes of the majority?
Do you think inequality is natural or something to be against?
