Hadn't heard about that one.

*sniffs quietly and refuses to reach for a tissue*

The one that gets me is a couple of years ago, Calgary I think, a little British (?) girl fell and was injured. She kept limping along, determined to finish and her Dad came out of the stands to help her cross the line.

iirc - don't remember the details too much, just having tears coming down my cheeks.
 
Never, at all. I just don't see physical prowess and the like as especially moving. I'm impressed, but never moved to tears
 
I have cried at the Welsh weighlifter who struggled thru injury.

Yeah - just after she said 'The pain doesn't matter, it's the Olympics' and then started crying and I welled - I was 'OMFG! How much dedication and motivation can a person have?'

Humbling stuff IMV.
