£35 million to prove armed insurgents were shot and killed in battle and not a bunch of innocent farmers tortured to death for the lols.
Theres another 1700 cases to investigate somebody's on a nice little earner strangely the architect of this disaster isn't answering any questions though.

Presumably, the alternative is to allow people to continue to claim that they were a bunch of innocent farmers tortured to death for the lols...?

Might have helped if PIL had come forward with some important details that they had a few years earlier saved a few million quid .
Employing agents to trawl basra looking for compo cases is slightly suspect behaviour especially when you've already committed massive fraud.
