Fix some cord or a coat hanger to it, use it, hung up, inside a cupboard or waldrobe for gloves/hats/scarves etc?
that sounds almost sensible.

It's a bit saggy and sad and doesn't really stand up properly. I had such high hopes.

Now this could work. I could probably force a coathanger through it. I am nowhere near organised enough to actually store regularly-used things like pants and socks in it (they just get shoved in drawers) but it could hold... er... something.
You could put a loo roll in each of those compartments.
This is actually genius.
I'm so lame, I tried to put my favourite cuddly toys in the best position. You can tell I don't give a shit about the yellow camel or Upsy Daisy.
You're in for a massive disappointment in a few minutes.
((bears' future self))
Really? Can't wait. I might actually stay awake for this...
I've got a divan. We'd bought a wooden frame but our very expensive mattress was sagging on it so we replaced it. : (
It has absolutely nothing to do with wolves hiding under beds. No siree.
Nope.
Ah, it's the huge inaccessible hollow space in the base of a divan that worries me. You don't know what's in there and you aren't going to look .
(it's easy to lift the base up, slash it open from underneath & shove boxes under it if you're really short of storage space. Just don't forget & leave them there when you move out).

<snip>
or get the sort of divan with drawers in the base bit?
while they don't suit storage of heavy stuff, they are less dust-prone than just bunging stuff in bags under the bed, and they are fairly difficult for wolves / monsters to open...
