has Disco Dave Cameron put his foot in it?

trevhagl

Famous author , company CEO
talks (in code) of forcing the poor out of their homes (new Housing benefit rules) or to commit crime (benefit cuts)
= complete media silence. No one bothered.

takes child benefit off the rich

= ABSOLUTE OUTRAGE!!!

Not since Blair set about murdering innocents in Iraq has a party leader had such contempt for his own voters, but i think it's fucking funny - first and possibly only time he does something against the rich and there's hell on!!

I don't think that some people can see the woods for the trees, unfortunately.

the media/establishment will always look after their own, and themselves. The Tories could start drowning people on the dole and they wouldn't even notice.

some people on here will call you naive for that Trev, its about defending universalism, (actually I see their point), but the howls from the MSM and liberal britain contrasted with the silence about the HB cap/social cleansing speaks volumes, we are moving to the US style of politics where the very poor have no voice.

yeah i know the score but if it is left the way it is (and i doubt it) i think it was actually a fair and brave move - possibly for the last time of course but good to see him wind up the greedy

It's the un-deserving/deserving poor dichotomy brought back to life first by NL, wait for the workhouses to be introduced, a logical extension of 19th C style neo-liberalism

Tell you why the lib-dems tories are not pursuing class war against the rich? Do you moron for the county?

i said ONE policy was brave and fair (as long as they don't use it as an excuse to lower that to £20,000 and further) . I didn't expect them to do anything else to hurt the rich. read before you post

what on earth is wrong with you BA?, attacking posters for opinions abusively, you know full well that this dichotomy is being resurrected, I only post on here now but if people continue to just insult posters, what is the point

you do have a point, the unemployed in London are going to be forced out into dodgy estates, i dunno about workhouses but it's definately social cleansing at the least.

I used to like his arguments but he's losing it big time now

I'm fed up of your moaning. That's all. When you ally yourself with idiots like trev against actual anti-cuts people ( i support some lib-dem tory cuts etc)then you're the one whose fucking up here.

as i've said on another thread, this is accelerating an already existing process, by no means the start of a new process. you only have to look at whitechapel or the kingsland road to see what's already been happening.

Trev, it has to be said, wise up. Nothing progressive about attacking universal benefits.

i did say if they went further it would be bad but if left the way it is then fine, people on £44 grand are not gonna miss child benefit, unless they have a family of 7 and live in London

is this true? i've read quite a few articles about it, all of them roundly condemning the cap.

what i think you meant to say is "I wouldn't miss child benefit if I was on £44k unless I had a family of 7 and lived in London". which is somewhat different.
