There were a group of folks with Merlin engines on sort of trailer stands when I last went to Duxford, obviously they didn't go anywhere but what a noise!!

Um, yep, I actually find myself grinding my teeth as I swear his accent and mannerisms are becoming far too cartoonish, series by series - a sort of professional northerner with far too many 'ees' and 'ayes (by gum) and quaint folky ways - I expect flat caps, whippets and all that shit - nobody under 75 talks like that 'oop north'.....although as a northern refugee, I suspect I have personal antipathies rooted in a horrible Oldham childhood which may well be affecting my judgement.

You sort of corrected yourself in your post, 'nobody talks like that up north'. That's because he's not a northerner, he's an East Midlander, and whilst he has a very strong accent, that is how people from the east midlands talk. Eeeee, I tell ya.
